SiDCOR EOFY Celebrations

We’re a fancy bunch at SiDCOR, so naturally, we celebrated the End of Financial Year in style. The events team tapped into their ‘spontaneous but still carefully planned’ sides, booking two nights away at the Kirkton Park Hunter Valley for the entire SiDCOR family.

Some drove from Newcastle, while others flew from Gold Coast, Port Douglas and Mossman-after buying a whole new wardrobe for the cold. Winter well and truly came for them.

We kicked off the weekend with a Friday afternoon training session, including an animated presentation by our very own Paul Siderovski. After, we checked into our rooms, some of us checked into the hotel robes to get our swank on for the evening ahead.

The festivities kicked off as the sun went down, with a horse and carriage (just kidding, it was a bus) taking us to Tuscany Estate. During a two-course dinner and a dessert grazing table featuring a mouth-watering, chocolate fountain, we celebrated our shining stars with a series of awards, including Growing into Your Potential and Living the Values.

The following day, we had the choice to hone in on our cooking skills, go on a wine tour or play golf (we’ve heard through the grapevine that CEO Scott Douglas should have really swapped the club for an apron). Some chose the three-course cooking class, while others opted to make pizzas and cocktails.

We finished off the weekend with a cheese-grazing table that would put Pinterest to shame. We also had a photo booth, a bonfire and the chance to make some amazing memories we’ll cherish forever.
