About the Role

That’s where you come in. We have an exciting opportunity in our Newcastle office for an accountant looking to take the first steps in their career in Self-Managed Superannuation. We will provide you with a career path within a forward-thinking company along with opportunities to hone your technical skills. We are looking for someone with a collaborative personality who thrives in a team but also has the self-discipline to work autonomously. You will have attention to detail along with consistently strong written and verbal communication. 

About You

Ideally, you will have tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Accounting or be in your final semester of study, along with some experience dealing with Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. Day-to-day, you’ll support the delivery of client services by assisting with the preparation of Superannuation Fund end of financial year accounts and regulatory returns, Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements, preparation of annual PAYG payment summaries and rollover benefit statements. You ‘ll also be involved in ongoing processing to meet TBAR reporting requirements, along with supporting the audit process.
